In the last paragraph about the playoff seeding - you say that if Detroit earns any point, they lock up 5th. But you didn't mention that if the Wings earn 2 points, and the Preds don't earn a point - the Preds would be 5th. It's a small thing, and I think most people will understand that.
As a Preds fan, I'd sort of prefer the Hawks to take out the Redwings in regulation or OT - to guarantee home ice advantage to the Preds. Then, Trotz has the ability to mess with the lines a bit and limit some ice time during the finale in Denver because the outcome won't matter. It would be a good chance to get Smith, Wilson & Halischuk some ice time.
I don't really care which team we play - maybe a slight advantage over the Hawks compared to the Wings. Home ice is a big deal. Great thing about 4th seed. If you win your first round, and there are two upsets...you get home ice in the second round too. And that is VERY possible this year with Chicago/Detroit/LA/SJ all having a chance to be lower seeds. Any of them are capable of winning a series from the 6/7/8 spot! |

Will the NHL release the playoff schedules on Sunday? I am praying we start on the 11th at home (if we get 4th seed....knock on wood), b/c I will be in Memphis for RHCP on the 12th. |

Exactly!!! Home ice gives the preds a couple more nights in their own beds for the 1st round and pray for some upsets. I don't care who the preds play. I'm more worried about 10-12-74, they have been pretty quiet lately. I noticed SK74 has been switching twig flavors, if you blaming your twig you are struggling with your game!!! Maybe they lost their mojo when Erat went down? |

I have been wondering the same thig about the "top" line as of late. I can't remember sk74's last point, let alone goal. Erat has contributed on the pp recently and fisher is still picking up assists here and there, but sk74 has gone cold. Just looked it up and saw 14 games since his last goal and 9 games since his last assist (Anaheim). |

SK74 (Correction) was accused of disappearing when the going got tough last season too. So should we be surprised? Is that where Wilson could help? |

Not sure if SK74 was hurt last playoffs but he was a non factor as well. Sergei did have 5 points but most of that stat padding. Sucks that BT can't find a spot for Willy. Legwand is holding Radu and AK46 back. I didn't really follow Montreal last year in the playoffs but I think Andrei didn't have a good line to play with like this year. It shall be a fun cup run! |

Glad to see Frankie still working his heart out. Love the guy. Also, looking forward to what the Preds can do this year. I think they'll go far. |

Yeah it definitely looks like he's making up for some bad turnovers in the last couple months with some very timely goals. I've always liked him, but I'm certain his time is limited on this team. |

Although SK74 has not been on the score sheet, I think he is playing really well. He is playing a much more well rounded game, he is on the PK, PP, and he has been playing with grit. Last year he was affraid of getting hit and hitting anyone on the forecheck, and I have noticed that he is playing a much more physical game. Not saying that he is playing like a Tootoo or Bourque but he is playing more physical than he did last year. Just a matter of time before he breaks through and hopefully get gets on a roll in the playoffs because we are going to need him, along with Fisher and Erat. If anyone is worrying me it is Fisher he seems to be playing tenative and has provided very little as far as offense goes. |

Why didn't the empty netter count last night? It crossed the goal line with two seconds left on the clock. |

If you look up "bush league" in the dictionary, you'll see two pictures- Ryan Clowe, and Alex Burrows!!
